Information vs intimacy
Information about God is a poor substitute for intimacy with God.
We were created for having a relationship with God, and people, not just to know information about God and people.
A relationship is where it is at. We are not designed to be content with a social media relationship with God or with people.
We were created by God in His image and likeness (Gen 1;26) for relationship and fellowship with Him and people. That is why we are not satisfied with social media relationships because it is just information and not relationship. It is the same way with God. We can not be satisfied with just information about God but when we have a relationship with God where we can find His promises to be true and manifest in our lives.
The bible, the word of God is a love story to us. The character of God is rooted in love. God is LOVE. We receive God’s love in our relationship with Him. We experience God’s love in our relationships with others. God is not some far away God, waiting for you to mess up. That is not God. He is our Father, He is love. The bible talks none stop about His love for us. The devil doesn’t want you to know how much God loves you and created you for relationship with Him so the devil try to keep people apart and people away from God’s love for them.
