Somewhere along the way, we were told that being loving means being quiet, that being kind means being agreeable, and that following Jesus means blending in. That is not biblical. That is cultural conditioning dressed up as compassion.
Jesus didn’t come to be affirmed—He came to reign.
Light doesn’t negotiate with darkness.
Culture says, “Live your truth.”
Jesus says, “I am the Truth.”
Culture says, “Follow your heart.”
Scripture says the heart can deceive and God offers a new one.
Culture says, “Don’t judge.”
Jesus says, “Judge rightly.”
Culture says, “Love means affirming everything.”
Jesus says, “Love tells the truth, even when it costs.”
And yes, it will cost you. Trust me.
If you’re doing Christianity in a way that never offends anyone, never confronts sin, never requires repentance, never demands surrender… you’re not following the Jesus of Scripture. You’re following a cultural remix.
The Gospel confronts before it comforts. It exposes before it heals.
It calls you to die before you ever rise.
That’s not harsh, that’s mercy.
Because a Gospel that doesn’t call you out of sin cannot lead you into freedom.
As moms, we understand this better than anyone. We don’t let our kids play in the street because it feels good. We correct, we warn, we guide, because love protects.
So why would we water down the very message that saves souls?
Jesus did not die so we could stay comfortable. He died so we could be transformed.
The early church didn’t change the world by fitting in. They changed it by refusing to bow. They were bold. Set apart. Unashamed. And the world noticed.
We need the unchanging, holy, powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ—the one that still convicts, still delivers, still heals, still saves.
So stand, mama.Teach your kids the truth.Live it in your home.Speak it without apology. Culture will shout. will mock.
Let it.
Because at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow, not just the ones that agree with Him.
And I’d rather stand with Christ now than explain my silence later.
The Gospel doesn’t bow to culture. Culture bows to Christ. You can’t serve culture and Christ.
