Jesus said, “Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” — Matthew 7:14

The road widens every time we compromise, when we water down truth, excuse sin, or blend in instead of standing firm.
But Scripture reminds us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

The narrow path is where obedience lives, where faith is tested and proven. Few choose it because it’s not popular with culture.Don’t fool yourself living lukewarm. Get right with the Lord and stay steady.
The narrow road may cost you now, but it leads to life eternal. Matthew 7:13–14

I used to be comfortable in areas where compromise crept in. It didn’t look dangerous…it looked normal.
But comfort can be a quiet killer.

One day Jesus lifted the veil off my eyes and showed me where I’d gone lukewarm. I was praying and reading the Word, but some areas I thought were hot had cooled.

“Because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” — Revelation 3:16

Lukewarm = Comfortable
Not hot, not cold… just in the middle.
It means believing in Jesus but living without full surrender. That’s the lie…the veil. The enemy loves a lukewarm believer because they’re no threat.

Now I guard the fire. Because when your heart burns for Him, there’s no room for compromise.

Hot = Zeal
In Greek, zēlos means boiling over with spiritual intensity. It’s passion that refuses to settle for “average faith.”

Zeal isn’t noise…it’s fire.
It’s not emotion…it’s devotion.
Keep your flame hot, because lukewarm faith is easy… but a burning heart is contagious.

“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” — Romans 12:11
